Are You being tested?
October 1st, 2007
subhanallah, this dunya we are living in and this time we live in as muslims is a hard time and at the same time a very blessed time. its a time of trials and tribulations, a time for the ranks to be cleared..the believers from the munafiqeen etc..and its a blessed time because a lot of khayr is happening in the ummah. around 30 years ago muslims were in a deep sleep and far away from their deen, but alhamdulillaah now the table is turning bi idhnillaah and muslims have realized how precious their deen is and wat they have to do to protect it..
But for us to get our izzah and karamah back as we once had it like the times of the muslim khilafah we all have to sacrifice for this blessed deen and bear the trials that will come with it. Everything which is worth a lot, will cost you a lot. and for us to raise up the flag of tawheed high above everything will surely cost us a lot and will not come easily.
The prophet saws told his sahaba that there will come a time where the reward for 1 person will be like the reward of 50 sahaba, and why subhanallaah?? because of what they go through and how much they sacrifice and bear for this deen. thats why our time is blessed because alhamdulillah its harsh times but the reward is great, may Allaah keep us firm and patient and allow us to reap the reward in this time, ameen.
So many people all over the world are being tested with trials the ummah havnt seen before, but inshallah its only a bushrah for this ummah. because theres so many blessing that comes with trials and it wakes up people from their deep sleep. look at what the sahaba had to sacrifice for the islam to be spread and for us to be muslims today..imagine if they gave up? likewise we have to go through the same trials for the sake of the muslim ummah and for islaam to be victorious..and it reminded me of what shaykh ayman al zawahiri hafithahullaah said about shaykh umar abdulrahman fakkalahu asrahu, that he is paying the taxes for islaam with his trials. some people have to go through trials for the sake of islaam and we have to be prepared for that as we never know wat is in await for us. and alhamdulillaah if you are being tested then take it as a bushra that you are inshallah on haq and you are not only benefitting yourself from these trials but the whole ummah, and only Allah knows the reward that is waiting for you in jannah…so glad tidings for you, be patient and stay firm bi idhnillaah and await the reward from Allaah..
And subhanallah we knew that by taking this path that Allah would send trials and tribulations to us and test our ikhlaas, so inshallaah with sabr and thabat Allah will make you a way out from your trials and change them with khayr and barakah, its just a matter of time.
And as Allah swt said in surat al ahzab:
”And when the believers saw AlAhzab (the Confederates), they said: “This is what Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) had spoken the truth, and it only added to their faith and to their submissiveness (to Allah).”
so they knew that the nation of kufr would gather against them and when that happened they knew it was the promise of Allah, and subhanallah history will only repeat itself and we know that they will gather against us again so it should only increase us in firmess and imaan.
so bi ithnillaah glad tidings for you who are being tested, and the victory of Allaah is coming..its just a matter of time..
may Allah make me of those who act upon what they say, and may Allah keep me patient when the trials hit my road..
do not forget me in your duaas.

Dear Brother, who dwells in these prisons
To you I write with distresses,
If to AllÄh you hold fast
Then what harm will a misfortune of time do to you?
Beware dear Brother, of making your corrupting your thoughts
Regarding the Promise of the Deity, Mighty and Strong,
Verily, He has promised the Believers with Salvation
As He saved Yūnus from the dark depths of the belly of the Fish,
Dear Brother, before you, passed the ancient ones
These prisons are but like those prisons,
Did not Yūsuf dwelled in them for a phase
And MÅ«sÄ, the tyrants threatened him with it,
And such was the Messenger of the Generous Deity
To imprison him, the pagans plotted,
So my Lord saved him through his Hijrah
In the company of that trustworthy friend,
And in their footsteps, the Believers traversed
Like Ahmad, that firm ImÄm,
And likewise Ibn Taymiyyah was blessed with it
In the fortress of ShÄm, as a prisoner he dwelled,
Hundreds of thousands of the True Faithful
Dwelled for a time in these prisons,
Be not weak, dear Brother, nor lose hope
When your time comes, nor submit,
Strengthen yourself by remembering the Deity, Most Supreme
And hasten in memorizing the Manifest Book,
That is for your heart a secure stronghold
And this is for your spirit an assisting provision,
These are hardships, soon they will all cease
And remaining from it will be various fruits and benefits,
So if they intimidate you, and they threaten you
Never weaken, or soften to them,
And even if they insult you, and they torture you
And if they beat you, submit not,
You are not the first to be tortured
For a Mighty Religion and a Manifest Legislation,
Nor are you alone on this Path
For there are countless caravans throughout the years,
And if an ‘Eid passes by, and a son is born
And months rotate, while you are imprisoned,
Do not grieve O Brother of the Righteous Ones
Of departing from family and losing children,
And if they forbid you from their visits
And likewise their letters never appear,
So if this is for a Lord and Religion
Then where is the patience, where is the certainty!?
And where are your past speeches
Regarding the (weight of the) Millah of that Trustworthy Messenger?!
That Intimate Friend went willingly
To slaughter his son, a clear trial,
On a magnificent, noble day like today
Without any anxiety, he put him down upon his forehead,
So my Lord saved him through His Good Will
And ransomed him with a fat sheep,
But you, your sons are in a carefree life
And diversion and amusement, and a secured home,
Yet you have not been asked to slaughter them
Rather, merely for patience of a temporary separation,
For verily, they are in the care of a Merciful Lord
And you are in solitude with Him and Faith,
For the Pleasure of a Lord and assisting a Religion
Life and all children become insignificant,
For the Pleasure of a Lord, Mighty and Generous
The prisons come perfumed, and the bitter come sweet…

Captivity, Imprisonment and Trials
By Shaykh Abu QatÄdah Al-FilastÄ«nÄ«
May AllÄh hasten his release
Is prison a necessary stage for the DÄ’Ä« (the caller to AllÄh)? Is it a praised rank, whereby the one that is included in it is better than the one who isn’t because of having entered this stage?
From what there is no doubt about is that the path of Da’wah is filled with dangers and hardships. AllÄh, Ta’ÄlÄ, said:
Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: “We believe,” and will not be tested. And We indeed tested those who were before them. And AllÄh will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although AllÄh knows all that before putting them to test)[1]
That is because the DÄ’ī comes to the people with matters that are new, and he calls them to abandon their profits and their agreements, and he is grieved over the course and the path they are upon, and this is a tremendous matter for the people because he challenges their principles and their greatest convictions. Therefore, the DÄ’Ä« is met with vehemence and violence. And for this reason, hardships separate the ranks [of the people], and through them, the people return to their rightful positions without ambiguity or falsification. Trials make the standing of the people known, and endurance is only for one who is patient. AllÄh, Ta’ÄlÄ, said:
وَجَعَلْنَا Ù…ÙنْهÙمْ أَئÙمَّةً يَهْدÙونَ بÙØ£ÙŽÙ…ْرÙنَا لَمَّا صَبَرÙوا وَكَانÙوا بÙآيَاتÙنَا ÙŠÙوقÙÙ†Ùونَ
And We made from among them (Children of Israel), leaders, giving guidance under Our Command, when they were patient and used to believe with certainty in Our AyÄt (proofs)[2]
Ibn Taymiyyah, may AllÄh have Mercy upon him, said in the exegesis of this Verse, “With patience and certainty, leadership is attained.” So, patience prevents rashness, and certainty prevents despair. So the DÄ’Ä« has two strengths that fortify him against mistakes. A strength that drives him – and it is certainty, and a strength that bides him time – and it is patience; certainty about the forthcoming promise, and patience in the trials presently occurring.
Tribulations and tests are manifest in every calling, and they surround the insubordinate ones, whether their insubordination was with Truth or with falsehood. It is not only the Prophets or their followers who meet hardships in the path of their Da’wah, but rather, all those who come to the people with something new. But what distinguishes the people of Truth from others regarding this is that the difficulties [faced by] the Prophets and their followers is for the sake of AllÄh:
That is because they suffer neither thirst nor fatigue, nor hunger in the Cause of AllÄh, nor they take any step to raise the anger of disbelievers nor inflict any injury upon an enemy but is written to their credit as a deed of righteousness.[3]
But as for the others, their hardships are a plague for them, as AllÄh, Ta’ÄlÄ, said:
تَصْلَى نَارًا ØَامÙيَةً عَامÙلَةٌ نَاصÙبَةٌ
“Labouring (hard in the worldly life by worshipping others besides AllÄh), weary (in the Hereafter with humility and disgrace). They will enter in the hot blazing Fire”. [4]
And as He, Ta’ÄlÄ, said:
Verily, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the Path of AllÄh, and so will they continue to spend it; but in the end it will become an anguish for them. Then they will be overcome. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto Hell[5]
So tribulations are manifest in the course of the Da’wÄt (callings), because the presence of the enemies are from the indications of AllÄh’s Victory to His AwliyÄ‘. AllÄh, Ta’ÄlÄ, said:
وَكَذَلÙÙƒÙŽ جَعَلْنَا Ù„ÙÙƒÙلّ٠نَبÙيّ٠عَدÙوًّا شَيَاطÙينَ الْإÙنْس٠وَالْجÙنّÙ
And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies - ShayÄt Ä«n (devils) among mankind and Jinn[6]
And it is one of the implications of the Name of AllÄh: Al-Muntaqim (the Avenger).
The disparity amongst people is a cosmic Sunnah, and so is their scrambling so that each one of them achieves the goals he is striving towards. And the equilibrium between the two parties comes through the attainment of the Victory and the defeat extended in the Qur’Än. There is no Divine injunction except that it is an element from the elements of Victory, and there is no violation of the Sharī’ah except that it is a factor from the factors of defeat.
Prison is one of the manifestations of tribulation, and is one of the forms of torment with which every party threatens the other, as Fir’awn menacingly said to MÅ«sÄ, Peace be upon him,
(Fir’awn) said: “If you choose an IlÄh (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners.”[7]
And it was one of the choices of Quraysh in their torment of the Messenger of AllÄh, Peace and Blessings be upon him;
ÙŽ
And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you (O Muhammad) to imprison you, or to kill you, or to get you out (from Makkah) [8]
And this is because prison is one of the forms of psychological and physical torment, and it shackles the will of the human being and prohibits him from exercising his civil and human [rights]. And for the DÄ’Ä«, it is even more unbearable and fatiguing because it separates between the DÄ’ī and the surrounding he needs for his Da’wah. The work of the DÄ’Ä« is the light within the people, and [it is] teaching them what is good, and winning followers for his call, and advancing his call to the individuals on the way. So prison is a deprivation for him of all this because the DÄ’ī is isolated from his surroundings so as to prevent him from impacting and aquiring [followers].
In this contemporary estrangement (Ghurbah), the callers began to call to AllÄh and the Sunnah of vindication has been completed between the Party of HÄq and the party of BÄtil, and the TÄghÅ«t has filled the prisons with the callers, and the forms of tribulation have recurred. And until now, [many] large groups have been put in prison. But what did prison do to them?
The prison is like a vessel whose colour is established depending on the colour of what is within it. Some of them deteriorated and fell, and usually, those are a minority that are not noticed. But the majority emerged from prison carrying memories of pain and torment, emerging to write to the people Karbala-like memoirs, full of weeping and lamentation, every one of the [writers] attempts to draw the readers’ emotions towards him with his work, and [attempts] to win their pity over it. And there is a form of literature found in the IslÄmic libraries that exemplify this form of art, that of weeping and Karbala-like lamentation. And the intention behind this is to hang medals over the chests so as to indicate that this man has been tortured and beaten. And until now, there has not emerged from this afflicted group a work or works resulting from their experience that may be a provision for the coming generation.
So prison is a trial; it will either break [you], or squeeze [you], or profit [you] so that the imprisoned one will emerge purified of all impurities – impurities of thought and impurities within his Nafs, so that his insight ascends, and his Nafs is polished in its development and training. The one that is tested should not be praised except according to the extent he benefited from the trial. He is not praised and sought after in and of himself, for the person might deteriorate within [prison], or he might emerge from it just as he entered it – ignorant, blind, and with bad character, or he might emerge having risen in rank while he was in it. And all of this depends on the person and how he looks at the phases and manifestations that pass him by in life. And prison is not a praiseworthy stage, nor is it something that a person should seek so as to be better than those close to him; rather he should look to the magnitude of benefit to be gained from such an experience.

Our ummah and gheerah
June 28th, 2007
-This was written by a dear sis-Â
–
Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabara katuh
SubhanAllah the other day i was sitting thinking of the situation of our ummah and everything that is happening
SubhanAllah i was sitting in my lounge room and i just got news that 10 brothers had been arrested some were husbands of friends of mine and i could hear the lebanese army bombing the muslims in naher al bared very heavily as if they were the dajals of this time…
and i was so distressed then athan aser was calling and i broke down saying what a shame to the land of sham !!!!!
what a disgrace that i can hear the athan above me while on my right muslims are getting bombed and killed and on my left brothers are getting arrested for there deen and families torn apart and women left helplesly alone !!!!!!
how has the land of sham come to this how??!!!
and it has come down to a few aspects and one is our men have lost their GHEERAH!!!!
where are our men like zubair and sa’ad bin thabet R.A???
where are our men that will defend our women like the prophet s.a.w did he declared war!!!
when the jew put the table on the womens hijab and her 3awrah showed.. but sisters what did it mean by 3awrah? THE TIP OF HER HAIR!!!
NA3AM the tip of her hair!!! la hawla wala quwatta illa billlah what can we say about the major 3awrah of our sisters that have been shown??
where are the likes of mu3tasem that sent out a whole army in defense of a women that got slapped on the cheeks by an enemy of Allah!!! yes one slap !!! what kind of BEATINGS and TORTURE do our sisters have to endure
for the men to flinch?!!
where is the gheerah of our men in defense of these sisters that so easly could be their mother ,sister, aunty daughter or wife etc……
But sisters I also ask how can a man have gheerah on the ummah if he has non over his women at home?!!!
So sisters bring your sons up to know what geerah is and dont discourage him if he is telling you mama this is showing or why are u wearing that ?
dont say it\s not your concern what your sister is weary !! if it\s not his then who’s is it??
get him used to Not seeing his sister or mother wearing revealing cloths
get him used to answering the phone ,paying at the shops and asking who is it at the door instead of you or his sister.
instill in him the seeds of islamic gheerah so he can grow up to have it for this ummah!!
sisters i want to tell you a story about an example of gheerah but this story did not happen in the time of the salf or tabi’een or sahabah not even the time of the rasool S>A>W
BUT at pre islam jailiyyah to show us how the ppl of jahiliyah had more gheerah than our muslim men!!!!!
A chief of a tribe was sitting beside his wife in his tent when his son came in and informed him that the chief of the neighboring tribe had arrived to come and talk about a solution to the two tribes problems
as both tribes did not want o go to war so this was the last oppertunity they had to discuss this matter.
he told his wife to leave the majlis and called for his nephew to bring in the guests they came in and the chief of the neighboring tribe was about to sit when the chief said please dont sit there sit here and he pointed to a place close to it
after discussing the matter and both tribes came to an agreement they left
the chiefs nephew looked at his uncle and said: 3ami why did you do such a thing?? as tell the other chief to change place
for you know that in it’s self could have caused war for ou disrespected him?
the chief said by the one who created the heavens war is more easier on me than a man sitting on a place still warm from my wife’s buttocks!!!
SubhanAllah and this an example of pre islam
if i was to write the post islam there would not be enough space
ya Allah instill in our sons and men gheerah for your sake and let them be from those who have gheerah on this deen ameen…
wassalamu alaikum
Raising your children on jihad

Raising your children on jihad
By: Sayf ad-Deen al-Ansary
Source: sadaa al jihad magazine. 14th of rabi’ al-Awwal, 1428H.
All praise is due to Allah, and may Allah’s blessing be upon His messenger, family and companions and those guided with his guidance.
To proceed:
“O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded.” [66:6]
And the prophet (saws) said: “Indeed, all of you are shepherds, and all of you shall be questioned concerning your flocks. Hence, the leader of the people is a shepherd, and he shall be questioned concerning his flock, and the man is a shepherd amongst the people of his household and he shall be questioned concerning his flock. And the woman is shepherd over the house of her husband and his children, and she shall be questioned concerning them. The slave of a man is a shepherd over the property of his master and he shall be questioned concerning it. Surely, all of you are shepherds and all you shall be questioned concerning your flocks.†[Agreed Upon]
Furthermore, the Prophet (saws) states, “Any shepherd who deceives his flock shall be in the Fire.†[Sahih al-Jami’: 2713]
The goodness of any community is dependant on with the goodness of its foundation. And the foundation will not be correct or firm without the correct bricks that will support the structure and maintain its strength and firmness in fighting the forces of erosion and the blows of time and the turbulent tribulations. It is likewise with the Muslim community - it will not be good without the correct bricks.
The tree of this Ummah will not stand except with excellent soil and good seeds, until the roots take hold, then the trunk will rise and the leaves will become green, and the flowers will grow and we would reap fruits that are ripe and pure.
And just as there’s a need for a tree, then there is a need for it to stay standing. So it is in need of one to water it and guard it and take care of its needs. And if we are sure about the goodness of the soil and cleanliness of the water, then we must take care of the seedlings. And for the growth to be completed and to stand on a firm foundation, then we must choose the primary building blocks carefully, and that is the family. And taking care of the family begins even before it is built
So it is on the man to choose a good wife (future mother) and to select the one with Deen “Choose the one for her Deen, you will be successful,” who possesses good character, a sound mind, and has knowledge; the one who is loving and is child-bearing, the Mujaahidah in speech and actions, and the other characteristics, like nobility, wealth and beauty if it is there, but they are not called for by necessity.
And its on the wife to choose a good life partner and not to turn away the one with Deen and good character, the righteous man, the Mujaahid in the path of Allah, the one with Gheirah for the women of the Ummah and for their honour, who loves his Deen and is generous - so generous that he sold his life to his Lord – the courageous one who doesn’t fear death and is not softened by the passing of time, the one who doesn’t fear the attack of the enemy, the one who fear never enters his heart because the fear of Allah has removed the fear of anyone else. “When someone whose faith and conduct is acceptable to you, comes to you with a proposal, then marry him.â€
As for the search for the likes of men because of their worldly posts, their wealth or their lineage (tribal or otherwise), they forget or are made to forget that all humans and tribes come from Adam and Hawaa’, and that Adam came from dust, so from where did all these Jaahili divisions come? Searching for these characteristics, if it shows anything, it shows the deficient thinking of the woman and her narrow-mindedness. She will encounter misfortunes because of that matter from the first day she enters upon that husband, and Allah is the one who guides to the straight path.
After the commitment of the couple come the offspring, InShaa’Allah. And children are the beauty of this Dunya. They are the hope of their parents and the soldiers of their Ummah. Their upbringing begins while they are still a foetus inside their mothers’ stomachs.. The child will feel the love of Islam while he is still in his mother’s womb, and this is through her love and sincerity towards her Deen, and her practicing of the Deen as was commanded by Allah and His Messenger, sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam, and her constant listening to the Qur’an with her heart before her ears, for her feelings are transferred to the child- by the power of Allah- no doubt. And this was proven in recent studies, Subhan’Allah.
And before that the prophet (saws) told us that “Every new-born child is born in a state of fitrah. Then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian or a Magian“. If the child is left on that fitrah without any influence, it would only turn a Muslim, but the distance caused it to turn to the wrong beliefs.
Ibn al-Qayyim Rahimahullah said: “Most children’s corruption is due to their parents and their neglect of them and their failure to teach them the obligations of this Deen and its Sunan. They lost them while young and so they don’t benefit themselves or their parents when they grow older. A parent criticized his son’s undutifulness to him, so the son said to his father: “O father, you were not dutiful to me while I was young, so I was not dutiful to you while you are older, you neglected me while younger so I neglected you as an old man.†And the child in his first years at least is in need of a mother who is there for him and not occupied by anything else from taking care of his childhood and raising the coming generations. Everything she does from house chores and taking care of the children is done on the account of those children and the new generation of humans.
And if we stressed the importance of the woman, it is because the child is closer to her in the first years due to his great need of her. The family is not only on the mother, but every spouse completes the other, and each one has his/her role. The men and women are the leaders of humanity, as it was said by Malik bin Nabiy, Rahimahullah. The man also has a big role in what he grants to his wife from personal comfort and tranquillity and guaranteeing the income that provides for her and her children an honourable life, so that she can fulfil her role in peace. And he also helps her in guiding the children and discussing their problems and finding solutions together on how to deal with them.
Here, sister, we start with you- the upbringer, the Dai’yah, the Mujahidah, and mention points we will take together, holding our children close to our hearts, and putting our weapons on our shoulders, towards loftiness. We seek to fulfil our fundamental role, and that is to bring lions to the fields and inciting them like al-Khansaa’, so they would intercede for us on the day when neither wealth or children would benefit us, and let us agree from now on a principle we wont abandon, and that is: our first jihad is raising our children.
A letter from a mujahid who was later martyred
May 28th, 2007
[This is part of a letter from the martyred mujahid Sa'ood bin hamood al Utaybi from the time he was wanted]
“I advice my muslim brothers to… Fear Allaah and do not be supporters for the tawagheet against their mujahideen brothers who refused to accept disgrace in their deen, and not to forsake their brothers, but to help them with what they can and not to be tight in their duaa for victory and firmness.
And i say to the scholars… Fear Allah in yourselves and your Ummah, say the truth and do not fear the blame of the blamers and dont be a help for those tawagheet or a speaker for them and repeat what they say.
For Allah says:”And remember Allah took a covenant from the People of the Book, to make it known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it; but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And vile was the bargain they made!” [3:187]
And i ask you by Allah, are those who defend the muslims, their countries and sacred places khawarij -killing the people of islam, and worshipping idols-? Or are the khawarij those who support the crusaders and open bases for them where their airplanes fly off and kill the muslims in iraq and other muslim countries?
And those who defend the disbelieving rafawidh in al madeenah and other places and send the people of tawheed who try to forbid the evil to prisons, so is he a wali amr for the muslims?
And i say to my mujahideen brothers and those on the run everywhere…
Be patient for Allaah says: “How many of the prophets fought (in Allah’s way), and with them (fought) Large bands of godly men? but they never lost heart if they met with disaster in Allah’s way, nor did they weaken (in will) nor give in. And Allah Loves those who are firm and steadfast. And they said nothing but: “Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.”[146-147:3]
And beware of those who forsake, or accept the disgrace in your deen, by Allah it is counted days and we will stand in front of Allah and He will judge between us and those tawagheet and their helpers, and He is the best judge!
And i say to my father and every father of a mujahid…
Fear Allah and be patient, and dont be deceived by the threats of the tawagheet. By Allah they do not respect the ties either of kinship or of covenant of a believer. And the blessed one is he who gets martyrdom in the cause of Allaah, and we let you know that we pray to Allah to “forgive my parents bestow on them thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood.”
And i will not give my self up to those tawagheet, because in that is forsaking the mujahideen and it is not permissable or to accept the rule of the kafir, especially in these times, and Allah knows best.”
O women of the Ummah!
April 30th, 2007
O Women of the Ummah!By: Umm Azzam, Sawt al-JihaadI entered a large society. I walked through its districts and roamed its squares. I wanted to explore its condition and discover its hiding places. I realized that there is no need to explore or to discover, for its doors are open and its secrets exposed. So i asked about my fellow sisters.
I saw them deceived by fake appearances, tried with attractive looks, running after new trends with fake slogans, competing with each other so each one could say, “I am the best.”
You see them walking freely in the markets, lost in the streets, wasting money; and at weddings they are clothed but naked, everyone of them shows off her expensive dress, her high heels, and her diamond jewelry set. You see them wearing a new dress at every gathering, and with every dress a new phone, and they vie with each other with their phones, and in their brilliant colors, and their advanced styles.
We see the the extravagance and wastefulness, and the heedlessness without any reminders. They closed the doors upon themselves and pulled their curtains so they do not get disturbed by hot air or dirtying dust; or by disturbing wailing, painful cries, loud noise or burning fire.
It is like they were created for themselves, they’ve been deceived by the dunya and its fancy glitter and its temporary enjoyments, and forgotten or were made to forget that they have a family other than their real family, brothers other than their real brothers. They are tied to them by the best humanly bonds; those who are expelled from their homes, their hearts defeated and their money stolen. We see men killed and imprisoned by an oppressive oppressor, and a destructive order. We see women who live lives of fear and hunger, in homes that are lifeless after the parting of the loved one, and the absence of the guardian; darkened environments as a result of the cut off light and the destruction.
She fears that the enemy’s soldiers will break down the door, and tear up the protective cover of the loved one. She wipes away the tears of a desperate, poor child. Violent hunger is in his stomach. He sleeps in the open air without cover and can’t find anything warm except his mothers embrace. He cannot sleep without being awoken by the noises of the tanks and explosions. All this is the result of the enemy who ran over our lands with oppression and force, with power, hatred and enmity; stealing and robbing…
We see blood and limbs, imprisonment, persecution and destruction; and still, these women have closed their balconies, and they have turned away their hearts. Until when this turning away and desertion? And until when this heedlessness and forgetfulness?
O sister, how do sleep nicely while there are eyelids kept awake by the enemies’ hands?
And how do you enjoy living while your brothers go through what they go through from tragedies and severe trials?
How do you enjoy life when your sisters go through what would rob the bedfellow of sleep and disturb the ears that hear?
O descendant of Khadeejah, ‘Asmaa’ and ‘Aa’ishah… isn’t it time for you to realize that in the dunya there is life and death, truth and falsehood, trials and ease, fitnah and revenge, Islaam and Kufr?
Who from among the women today carries the worries of the Ummah? Who among the women cried over the massacres of Jineen, Nablous and Rafah?
Which one among the women cried over the fall of Kaabul? Or which among them cried over the fall of Baghdaad?
By Allaah, you don’t see among the women except those who cry over their love, and are not the least pained over that which befalls this Deen and its people!! (Illaa Man rahima Rabbee)
O sister, you have to wake up the hearts of the men, and elevate the determination of the heroes, and say, “We refuse humiliation and subjection, misery or subserviance; and we want to be free from having to bow to the cross worshippers.”
You have to push your loved ones to the battlefield. The Most Beloved, The Lord of the lords, is more deserving that we sacrifice what is most beloved to us for His sake, from our lives, and our wealth.
I say to you my Muslim sister, the least that is expected from you is when the men leave for Jihaad, that you stay silent and are pleased by Allaah’s orders. And [that you are] cautious that you do not repel others from the Path of Allaah, and that you do not become an obstacle on their way to paradise or Allaahs’ pleasure.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning), “Those who prefer the life of this world instead of the Hereafter, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e.Islam) and seek crookedness therein - They are far astray.” [Surat Ibraheem, verse 3]
So be like Al-Khansaa’, Nusaybah Bin Ka’b and Safiyyah Bint ‘Abd al-Muttalib whose examples still can be found in our time, those who sought to lift the humiliation and shame from the forehead of the Ummah, and raise the banner of victory for Islaam and the Muslims with the blood of their sons, and the piercing of their livers, and sought to stop the spread of the kaafir communism in the lands of Islam and its people.
O sister, why dont you become like the example of Umm Suraaqah? And what do you know about Umm Suraaqah? She sent her son for Jihaad in Afghanistaan, and when he was martyred, they [the mujahideen] said, “how do we inform her about her son’s death?” So they said, “if Shaikh Abdullah ‘Azzam talks to her it will lighten her burden.” So Shaikh ‘Azzam called her and gave her the glad tidings of her son’s Shahaadah and he told her words of comfort and patience, but she didn’t need those words at all, and it was as if she was waiting for this news with longing. So she replied to the shaikh saying, “Alhamdulillaah for Suraaqahs’ martyrdom. In a week I will send you his brother to replace him.”
