Following the Millah of Ibraheem

July 6th, 2007

Say: “Allah speaketh the Truth: follow the religion of Abraham, the sane in faith; he was not of the Pagans.” [3:95]

“Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah’s (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah” [3:67]

Allah [swt] have ordered his prophet [saws] and his followers to follow the Millah of Ibraheem [as].  He was alone against his people but stil he stood up for haqq and he sacrificed everything for the sake of Allah. No matter what Allah [swt] asked of him he did, he was asked to slaughter his son and he obeyed but Allah saved him. How much did Allah test him with but he still followed the commands of Allah, would we do the same?

Think about it, salughtering your own son, leaving your beloved wife and son in the desert etc. But he remained firm and he succeded in the trials. we will be tested aswel, but will we remain firm and stick to the Deen of Allah or will we give up when it becomes tough?

So those who are tested and remain firm are the true followers of the Millah of Ibraheem [as].

“Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to Allah, does good, and follows the way of Abraham the true in Faith? For Allah did take Abraham for a friend.” [4:125]
 -

He understood tawheed and the rejection of every taghoot and he didnt hide that. He destroyed the false gods and called the people to worship Allah alone. and that is the example we are asked to follow in the Qur’an:

“There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: “We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone” [60:4]

Some people are afraid of calling kafirs by their name, or telling ahlul bid’ah that they are upon bid’ah etc, but subhan’Allah are we afraid of telling the truth as it is? thats not the sunnah of our beloved messenger or his companions. the prophet [saws] used to curse the gods of quraish and their fathers in front of them he didnt fear loosing followers. so those who claim that its darar for the da’wah, i ask them by Allah are they more guided than the prophet [saws]?

A Question we should ask ourselves, are we among the true followers of the millah of Ibraheem?

“It is upon us to attain..

June 28th, 2007

Shaykh Abu Qatadah Said:

“It is upon us to attain the aqeedah of jihad, the spirit of jihaad and the soul of jihaad. By this aqeedah the hardships will seem easy and the mountains will seem small. This soul that will accept the love of death and seeking that which is with Allah. It will be raised above minor issues, with zuhd regarding this world. If we attain this soul we would be storms that will let no trace for kufr to remain nor space for oppression.”

Lessons from the life in the shade of the aqeedah part 2

June 18th, 2007

It has taught me that: Good comes with good, and much is hidden in the upcoming days. Its upon the believer to accept what Allah decreed for him, for his anger and being displeased wont change anything of the decree of Allah.

It has taught me that: Patience comes with victory, and the path to victory requires from a person to remain firm on this path no matter what he will face from hardships and trials. It has taught me that: Iman is the provision of the believer and he will stand with it in the face of trials. The stronger the iman, the more he will increase in strength and loftiness. It has taught me that: After hardships comes ease, and after the night the fajr will appear, after trials comes the makhraj. And whoever sticks to Allah during trials and tribulations will have Allah as a helper and protecter.

It has taught me that: Smiling in the face of a believer is your weapon to eliminate the enmity and hatred and to plant love instead.

It has taught me that: I should perfom my deeds in secret, to stick to what i say and to finish what i started with til its end.

It has taught me that: I should recognize the position of a person. A weak muslim is more beloved to me than a strong hypocrite with influence.

It has taught me that: A Person is not weighed by his wealth and position, but by his Deen, Taqwa and devotion.

It has taught me that: A person is upon the Deen of his friends, so he should look at who he befriends.

It has taught me that: I should be clever and intelligent and learn from what surrounds me from experiences in all aspects of life.

It has taught me that: Actions is in need of a high spirit. And the spirit of a muslim should be high and great as the skies. And with the spirit we will reach the top bi-idhnillah.

It has taught me that: Dawah is the responsibility of every individual muslim, and dawah should be wherever a muslim would be.

It has taught me that: Dawah and enjoyning the good and forbidding the evil wont hasten death or delay rizq but whatever Allah decreed will happen.

Lessons from the life in the shade of the aqeedah

June 17th, 2007

[Posted by a sister on an arabic board]

A life in the shade of the aqeedah teaches many lessons, and from what life has taught me is:

The life in the shade of the aqeedah has taught me that: a muslim have no worth without his Deen, and that islam is the relief to the society, the nafs and the manners. It has taught me that: the more a person holds to his Deen, he will increase in honour, and the more he take his Deen lightly the more he will increase in disgraceIt has taught me that: the Deen is complete, and whoever adds to it have legislated and whoever removes something have legislated, this one in adding and the other in removing. Then what have the verse of Allah “This day have I perfected your religion for you” cleared for us if we add and remove as we want.

It has taught me that: its not possible for the love of the enemies of Allah and the awliya’ of Allah to be united in one heart, the love for the soldiers of tawagheet and the soldiers of Allah.

It has taught me that: the love and mercy have to be for the awliya’ of Allah, and the harshness should be with the enemies of Allah and those who fight his religion.

It has taught me that: A muslim is strong in his Deen, but is stronger with his brothers/sisters and with a jama’ah.

It has taught me that: with Jihad, the Ummah will be alive, shareah will be established, the principles will live on, the honour will return and the blood protected.

It has taught me that: the one who delays jihad, is in need of jihad.

It has taught me that: walking on the path of haqq with slow steps that will lead me to the pleasure of my Lord, is better than taking the path of batil with quick steps that will get me a wordly position, money and the anger of My lord.

to be continued inshaAllah

Stick To Ahlus-Sunnah Wal Jama’ah

June 11th, 2007

Assalaamu Aleykum.

The importance of sticking to Ahlus-Sunnah Wal Jama’ah is great, and there are numerous ahadeeth mentioning the obligation to stick to the same path as the prophet and his companions.

The prophet (saws) said: “Verily this nation will split into seventy one sects, all of them are in the fire except one, and it is the Jamā’ah.”

Its well known that the majority of people will always be against the truth as we have many verses in the Qur’an mentioning that.

One example:

“But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no avail against truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do.” [10:36]

And Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood May Allah be pleased with him said:

‘Verily, the majority of the Jamā’ah are those who have left the Jamā’ah; the Jamā’ah is that which complies with the Truth, even if you are alone.”

No matter how few you see sticking with the truth shouldnt scare you off and make you doubt that this is the truth. Or if you see so many knowledgable people speaking against the truth and so many scholars, because the truth is not about the people or how many you see supporting it, but know the truth and you will know its people.

Abū Shāmah said in “Kitāb Al-Hawādith Wal-Bida’:

“Where ever the order to follow the Jamā’ah comes, then what is intended by it is adhering to the Truth and its followers, even if those holding steadfast to it are a small amount and those contradicting it are many ‘because the Truth is that which the first Jamā’ah was upon from the time of the Prophet and his Companions. And there is no consideration given to the great numbers of the People of Bid’ah from after them.

Sometimes shaytan wants to make you doubtful about this path and will whisper to you “do you really think your the only one following the truth”. But haq is haq and even if its sad to see so many people misguided we know what haq is, and we should stick to it no matter what, and bite on it with our molar teeth.

And if you see some people that you once knew to be on haq, chosing another path, it shouldnt scare you off or make you doubt aswel. but you should only be more firm and thank Allah that He chose you to be from Ahlul Haq.

“If the Jamā’ah becomes corrupt, then it is upon you (to follow) that which the Jamā’ah was upon before it became corrupted, even if you are alone, because then you are the Jamā’ah at that point.”

*The Jama’ah mentioned is Ahlus-Sunnah Wal Jama’ah.
